Grandma Gwendolyn Griffiths Meader

My Grandma Meader had a big family and the Norman Rockwell card in this layout reminds her daughter, my Aunt Alice, of that family. The picture is of Grandma Meader in 1953. She is holding an old Griffiths family album which Aunt Alice gave to me a few years ago. Kit is Harvest from

Grandma Jennie's Recipe

I got the idea around Thanksgiving to make a batch of fruitcake for the holidays. I thought it would be very nice to have Lindsay help me and build some memories for her. My Grandma Jennie had a good recipe for fruitcake that she made and then my mom made when I was young. We gathered all the ingredients and spent the morning baking fruitcake. Ellie and Shrek

Ellie is a fun little girl. She has personality plus. She is smart and also a very good little girl. She is easy to care for and has been lots of fun. She is talking now and suprises us with words she says or little phrases. Only being 18 months, I am impressed. I will miss her a lot. In this layout, she is watching her favorite movie Shrek. She knows all three from start to finish. The funny thing is she can sit there and watch the whole thing with complete concentration. I will miss you little girl!

Jennie Ann

This is my favorite picture of Jennie taken by a photographer in 1969. She is just too cute here! Now she is grown up woman with kids of her own. I found this free layout kit at www.digitalfreebies.com It is by Maria LaFrance and is called "Sunshine and Daisies".

Country Cousins

I saw a layout on tv yesterday called "Country Cousins". My two little granddaughters, Rahlee and Chloe took a walk last fall with me down to our pond and field. It reminded me of the pictures I had of them together. Truly, Country Cousin pictures. Layout kit is a freebie from http://www.shabbyprincess.com/ called "Festival".

A Walk in the Fall

I love this picture of Gatlin. Allison wanted to take him for a walk one cold fall day on our property in North Carolina. The rest of the grandkids wanted to go too. Gabe, Josh and Lindsay.
I had to grab my camera and capture the moment for a scrapbook page. Kit is an internet freebie called "Spice Jar" by Andrea Designs

Eternal Love

I love this scrapbook page. Dad and I have not had a good picture taken of us in forever, almost.
This one was taken of us on our Carnival cruse ship in October of 2007. Our daughter Kristen gave us a cruise to Mexico and then went with us, along with her sister Aimee and their two daughters, Caitlyn and Michaela. We had a wonderful time. This is a free kit from http://www.scrapgirls.com/ called Eternal Love.

Work Load

One beautiful fall day at our home in North Carolina, Dad got all the boys outside to stack a load of wood for the winter. Being asked to work is usually accompanied by moans and excuses, but this day they all got out and seemed to have a good time together. It made me happy and that is what family is all about. My kit is a free down load called Too Soon at http://www.shabbyprincess.com/.

Caitlyn

I have grandaughter that is a twin. She is 17 years old. She is a girly girl, but also on the weight lifting team and in ROTC. I have watched her grow up from a tiny little twin baby to a beautiful young woman. Her grandfather and I are proud of her. This picture is kind of different. She had her hair all braided and posed outside in the hammock. I wanted to use a grunge look for the layout. It might need something else that I can add later. I got this free kit off the internet. It is called Nani-Douce Fraicher.

Three Generations

These layouts are going to be an album of my oldest daughter, Kristen. So many wonderful memories of becoming a mother are brought to my mind as I view these pages. This is my mother with Kristen and myself, in the first few days of her life. She was also my mom's first grandchild. We were living in married student housing on the campus of BYU at this time. 1965

Blessing Day

Kristen's Album

These are layouts of the birth of my first child, Kristen Louise. She was born in Provo, Utah, on October 22, 1965. It was wonderful to have my dreams of being a "mommy" fulfilled with such a beautiful baby girl. My own "mommy" came all the way from Florida, to be with us when she was born. Layout kit- Espress Yourself from Scrap Girls.
